This Privacy Policy describes how Candy Talk AI (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, transmits, stores, and discloses information when you use the Candy Talk AI mobile application (“Application” or “Service”).
This Privacy Policy also explains how your information may be shared with a third-party AI service provider in order to provide AI chat functionality.
The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. These definitions have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Account means a unique account created for you to access the Service or parts of the Service.
Application refers to Candy Talk AI, the software program provided by the Company.
Company refers to Candy Talk AI and is referred to as “the Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our” in this Privacy Policy.
Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a smartphone, tablet, computer, or other electronic device.
Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service refers to the Application.

Third-Party AI Service means Grok, an artificial intelligence service provided by xAI / X.AI LLC, which may process user-provided content in order to generate AI responses.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service.
While using the Service, we may collect information that you provide directly or that is necessary for the functionality of the Application, including AI chat features.
The types of Personal Data we may collect include:
User Name — provided by you or automatically generated when creating an account.
Country and City — optionally entered by you manually. This information is not collected through real-time GPS or precise geolocation services.
User ID — a unique identifier assigned to your account within the Application.
Chat Messages and Prompts — messages, questions, prompts, and other text content you submit in the AI chat.
Chat History and Conversation Context — previous messages and conversation context required to provide relevant AI responses and maintain conversation continuity.
Usage Data may be collected automatically when you use the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as your device type, operating system version, Application version, application diagnostics, crash logs, access times, interaction events, and other technical information required to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
We collect information in the following ways:
Directly from you when you create an account, enter profile information, send chat messages, submit prompts, or upload content.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain the Service, including account functionality and AI chat features.
To operate AI chat functionality, including sending your chat messages, prompts, conversation context, and other submitted content to the Third-Party AI Service in order to generate AI responses.
To manage your Account and provide access to Application features.
To maintain conversation continuity, including retaining chat history where necessary to provide relevant responses and improve the user experience.
To improve the Service, including troubleshooting, analytics, performance monitoring, feature development, and user experience improvements.
To communicate with you regarding updates, support requests, security notices, or important service-related information.
To ensure security and prevent abuse, including detecting fraud, misuse, spam, harmful activity, or unauthorized access.
To comply with legal obligations, including responding to valid legal requests and enforcing applicable terms.
The Application includes AI chat functionality. To generate AI responses, the Application may transmit certain user-provided content and related technical information to Grok, a third-party AI service provided by xAI / X.AI LLC.
The following data may be sent to Grok / xAI when you use the AI chat feature:
Chat messages and prompts you type;
Conversation context required to generate relevant responses;
Chat history required for continuity of the conversation;
Technical data required to transmit, process, secure, and operate the AI request.
This data is transmitted to Grok / xAI only as necessary to provide the AI chat feature, generate AI responses, maintain service security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot technical issues, and operate the Application.
Before the Application sends your chat messages, prompts, conversation context, or other user-provided content to Grok / xAI, the Application requests your permission inside the app.
If you do not provide permission, the AI chat feature may be unavailable or limited. Other parts of the Application may remain available where applicable.
Data transmitted from the Application to our servers and/or to Grok / xAI is sent using encrypted connections, such as HTTPS/TLS, to help protect information during transmission.
Please note that encryption during transmission does not mean that chat messages are end-to-end encrypted. In order to generate AI responses, Grok / xAI must process the content you submit.
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational security measures to protect Personal Data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may share your Personal Data only in the following situations:
With Grok / xAI: We may share chat messages, prompts, conversation context, chat history,username, id, location and technical data with Grok / xAI when necessary to provide the AI chat feature.
For safety and security: We may disclose information where necessary to detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security incidents, technical issues, or violations of applicable terms.
With your consent: We may share information for any other purpose that we disclose to you and that you approve.
We require Service Providers that process user data on our behalf, including third-party AI service providers, to provide the same or an equivalent level of protection for user data as described in this Privacy Policy and to process such data only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise required by law.
We retain Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and improve the Application.
Account Information may be retained while your account remains active and for a limited period after account deletion where necessary for legal, security, or operational purposes.
Chat History may be retained to provide conversation continuity, AI chat functionality, troubleshooting, safety, and service improvement.
Technical and Usage Data may be retained for diagnostics, analytics, security monitoring, performance improvement, and service maintenance.
Third-party service providers, including Grok / xAI, may process and retain data in accordance with their applicable terms, policies, and data processing obligations.
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country, state, province, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
By using the Service and providing information to us, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in locations outside your country of residence.
We take reasonable measures to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
The Application asks for your permission before sending your chat messages, prompts, conversation context, chat history, uploaded content, or other user-provided content to Grok / xAI for AI response generation.
You may withdraw your permission where this option is available in the Application settings or by contacting us. If you withdraw permission, the Application will stop sending new AI chat content to Grok / xAI unless you provide permission again. Withdrawing permission may disable or limit the AI chat feature.
You may request deletion of your Personal Data by contacting us at the email address listed below.
We may retain certain information where required or permitted by law, including where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, or enforce agreements.
The Company may disclose your Personal Data if required to:
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 16.
If you believe that a child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites or services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted in the Application or on the relevant Privacy Policy page.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
